Shades of Green /// 2025
This image series is part of my exploration of the perception of eristalis pertinax. The tapered drone fly sees a wide spectrum through its compound eyes. Its reactions are fast, but its vision is less sharp than that of humans, and it barely detects red. At the same time, it is strongly attracted to UV patterns.
